K Madhavan laid to rest in Kanhangad

He was laid to rest at the premises of his house by evening.

Kasargod: Thousands from various walks of life paid their last tribute to freedom fighter K. Madhavan, who was fondly called the Gandhian Communist at his residence at Nellikkatt in Kanhangad on Monday. The 102-year-old veteran, who had participated in Payyannur salt satyagraha and Guruvayur satyagraha at a private hospital in Kanhangad on Sunday midnight.

Revenue minister E. Chandrasekharan, P. Karunakaran, MP, district panchayat president A.C.G. Basheer, district collector K. Jeevan Babu, Kannur University vice-chancellor Khadar Mangad among others paid homage to the leader. He was laid to rest at the premises of his house by evening.
