The hospital came under scanner after a 50-year-old woman died without responding to treatment at the hospital on September 3 this year. Selvi of Chinna Sekkadu near Manali was admitted with fever.

Following her death, her husband Pandian filed a police complaint against hospital and the doctors alleging medical negligence. Pandian didn’t stop there. He filed a complaint with the joint director of medical services in Tiruvallur and sought their intervention. A team of officials had conducted surprise checks at the hospital along with police personnel and found that the couple who ran the hospital were only B.Pharm graduates.
