At 38 degree Celsius, Bengaluru breaks record

The official data made available on the Met department website shows that the city has never touched 38 Degree Celsius in the past 10 years.

Bengaluru: There seems to be no respite from the rising mercury in the city. On Saturday it touched 38 degree Celsius, a record for more than 10 years. The highest recorded temperature in the city was 38.3 degree Celsius in April 1931. The official data made available on the Met department website shows that the city has never touched 38 Degree Celsius in the past 10 years.

Meanwhile the Met Department officials said that the city will have partly cloudy sky for the next 48 hours and the maximum & minimum temperature very likely to be around 37 and 24 degree Celsius respectively. As for the expected rainfall, the official said that it is expected in South Interior Karnataka that includes Bengaluru rural areas and ruled out the possibility of rainfall in the city limits any time soon.
