Solar power producing sheets will be fixed to corporation buildings to generate 88 lakh units of power at a cost of Rs 39 crores. Velumani also announced new drainage schemes and drinking water schemes and improvement of roads and bridges in town panchayats at an estimate of about Rs 100 crores.
