Kerala University delays publishing BTech results

However, sources said that the centralised valuation camp was held only in August 2017.

Thiruvananthapuram: The results of the semester five and semester three supplementary examinations of the 2013 scheme BTech students of Kerala University admitted in 2014 have not been published even one year after their examinations were completed. As a result, students who were in semester 7 were unable to register for campus recruitment. The examinations were held in September 2016. As per regulations of the B Tech 2013 scheme, the results should have been published within 45 days. However, sources said that the centralised valuation camp was held only in August 2017.

The students who have cleared all papers with at least 75 percent marks till the fifth semester were allowed to register for campus recruitment. Incidentally, this is the last batch of B Tech in Kerala University. Later, all batches of engineering colleges were shifted to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The results of the subsequent batches which have been shifted to the technological university are being published as per schedule. The students could not apply for the combined defence services examinations due to the delayed results. The fifth and sixth semester examinations of the 2013 scheme students which were held in September last year were published only last week, sources said.

The results of the supplementary examinations of 2008 scheme students who have back papers have also been delayed. Meanwhile, the Kerala University has invited applications for the seventh semester examinations of B Tech (2013 scheme regular 2014 admissions). The students can submit applications without fine till October 25, with a fine of Rs 50 till October 27 and a fine of Rs 125 till October 30.
