Visakhapatnam: Vizag-Araku train will have German technology enabled coaches to attract tourists and provide a comfortable journey to passengers. The Railways on Thursday announced the introduction of modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches to Visakhapatnam-Araku- Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express with effect from November 23.
The LHB coaches, based on German technology, offer better riding comfort, are lighter in weight, have higher speed potential as well as higher carrying capacity.
The train 18551 will run with revised composition of LHB coaches from November 23 while its pairing train 18552 will run with revised composition of LHB coaches next day. The Vistadome coaches will be attached in rear to the trains, said AK Tripathi, senior divisional commercial manager at Waltair division of East Coast Railway.
