Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was on way to inspect Kalwakurthy pump house

Hyderabad: The Veldanda police on detained Congress Legislative Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka who was on his way to inspect the Kalwakurthy pump house which was submerged by the waters of the Srisailam reservoir on Friday.

Mallu Bhatti along with MLAs D. Sridhar Babu, Jaggareddy, and MLC T. Jeevan Reddy planned to visit the lift irrigation project where an explosion had also occurred due to the submergence. He was later released.

Speaking to the media, Mallu Bhatti alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao did not care the engineers' instructions on the pump house construction and went by his own decisions. This reflected in the damage at the pump house.

The CLP leader also demanded a CBI inquiry into the irrigation projects built for the last six and a half years of the TRS regime. The Chief Minister is redesigning the projects and bagging thousands of crores as commissions, he alleged.
