Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan demanded the LDF Government to withdraw its decision to sell liquor online. He said that the new initiative will only drown Malayalis in liquor during Onam. "The decision is to tarnish the tradition of Onam," he said.
"It is unfortunate that the LDF Government is trying to drag the tourism industry in to the liquor issue. Tourism minister A.C. Moideen's reaction that tourism has been affected with dearth of liquor is a baseless argument", said Mr Kummanam.
He also said unlike last year, there has been an increase of tourists to the State by 5.36 per cent.
