Chinna Jeeyer wants temples managed by devotees, not ED

Maintenance of temples will be good if they are supervised by devotees, rather than by the endowments department, the seer felt

JAGTIAL: Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy has advocated management of temples by devotees and not endowments department.

Speaking after participating in Brahmotsavalu of Venugopala Swamy Temple in Jagtial Town on Tuesday, the Chinna Jeeyar declared:

“Maintenance of temples will be good if they are under the supervision of devotees, rather than under officials of endowments department.”

He maintained that whichever the way, devotees serve God with true heart and real worship. They follow Mangala Shasanalu – rituals – due to which God Himself graces such temples

The comments of Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy came after he came to know that the Venugopala Swamy Temple is managed by devotees. He said there are many temples being maintained well by devotees across the state.

“But if they are taken over by endowments department, celebrations will not have the same lustre,” he observed.

Jeeyar Swamy went on to say that it is better to give responsibilities of various temples belonging to several gods to their respective devotees. “The temples will then be in good hands than under endowment department,” he underlined.
