Thrissur: Founder-chairman of SammaaN Foundation, Irfan Alam, has urged students at Sree Ramakrishna Gurukula Vidya Mandiram at Puranattukara to work hard following one's dreams. "The courage to overcome impediments is the key to success," the renowned youth entrepreneur said, at a motivation session as a part of Irfan Ignition Programme across schools in the state.
Mr Alam, known for his social entrepreneur schemes for the unprivileged sections, said the role parents played in their achievements was crucial. Grown in a humble background in Bihar, his success story is a part of the Plus Two English textbooks, and 850 selected students and 50 teachers from different schools in Thrissur attended the session.
He came to limelight after his successful programme supporting rickshaw pullers in north Indian cities to educate their children and introducing health insurance schemes for the marginalised under the SammaaN Foundation. The programme turned out to be a grand success improving the standard of their life.
