Alappuzha: Former chief minister and Kerala Administrative Reforms Commission chairman V.S. Achuthanandan had a quiet Onam at his home (Velikkakath House) in Paravoor, here on Wednesday. He celebrated Onam with close relatives and friends. Talking to reporters, he criticised the BJP president Amit Shah’s wishes on Vamana Jayanti. “By painting a feudal picture on the most socialistic festival, the BJP-RSS combine has shown that it’s desperate to create intolerance in the society."
