Hyderabad: NASA astronaut Raja Chari, whose father hailed from Hyderabad, took to Twitter to post about how Independence Day reminded him of the city.

Raja’s post in Twitter said, “On Indian Independence eve I’m reminded of the Indian Diaspora that I could see from @SpaceStation where my immigrant father’s home town of Hyderabad shines bright. @nasa is just 1 place Indian Americans make a difference every day. Looking forward to @IndianEmbassyUS celebration (sic).”

Congratulations and all of India should be proud of this historic new anniversary (sic),” Chari tweeted.
