Uttar Pradesh man offers Rs 50,000 prize for missing bull

When Pandey's search did not yield results, he lodged a police complaint.

Lucknow: A man in Sarnath in Varanasi has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for anyone who finds his missing bull.

A missing complaint has also been lodged with the police. “Badshah is not merely an animal for us but a family member who has access to our kitchen. Badshah used to roam in the area without causing any harm to anyone. He was much in demand by those who brought cows for insemination. The objective behind announcing the reward is that the amount may attract those who may have taken away the bull for selling”, he said.

Posters carrying photographs of the bull and details of its physical appearance have been put up in adjoining localities.

The three-year-old bull, named ‘Badshah’, is owned by one Manoj Kumar Pandey and went missing about a week ago.

Mr Pandey initially searched for the missing bull but when his efforts did not yield any result, he lodged a complaint with the police.

Meanwhile, SO Sarnath, Mahendra Prasad Yadav said a missing report of the bull had been registered and efforts were being made to locate it.
