Peace Centre in memory of Sree Narayana Guru

The docufiction portrays the life of Sree Narayana Guru at Maruthwamala where he attained enlightenment.

Thiruvananthapuram: Marunnumamala, The Abode of Enlightenment, a docufiction on the meditative life of Sree Narayana Guru was screened at Kalabhavan Theatre here on Tueday. The screening was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The 29 minute docufiction portrayed the life spent by Sree Narayana Guru in Pillathadam Caves in Maruthwamala where he attained enlightenment. The Guru Dharma Madom declared the construction of a World Peace Centre (Viswasanthimandir) at Maruthwamala, and the works will commence at January 30, 2017.

“Sree Narayana Guru’s message is all the more significant in the present times when communal forces are trying to create a divide on religious lines. The Guru’s teachings should be disseminated among the young generations,” Pinarayi said while inaugurating the function. Oommen Chandy inaugurated the website (www.maruthwamala.com) that contains information about Maruthwamala and World Peace Centre. Perumbadavam Sreedharan, writer, released the DVD and handed the first copy to A. V. Anoop.

Bramhasree Prakashanandha released Marutwamala Chathayapooja silver jubilee logo at the function. Brahmasree Visudhanandha Swamikal, Guru Muni Narayana Prasad, Brahmasree Rithambaranandha Swamikal, Swami Guruprasad Swamikal took part. The docufiction is directed by Dr. S. Mahesh and written by Sajeev Krishnan.
