Anna Prasadam centre launched at Kailasa Dwaram

Anantapur: Srisailam Temple authorities have started an Anna Prasadam distribution centre at the Kailasa Dwaram for the padayatra devotees during the Sivaratri festival. Temple executive officer S. Lavanna said that the centre would be open until the end of Sivaratri Brahmotsavalu. Apart from the prasadam counter, biscuits and drinking water will be served at the Kailasa Dwaram on the outskirts of Srisailam, he added.

The EO stated that at least six Sintex tanks with a capacity of 5,000 litres had been installed at Kalasa Dwaram to provide drinking water for the devotees. He further added that a health camp would be organised with the coordination of the district medical and health department.

In view of the huge number of devotees who will be on padayatra through Nallamala forest, at least eight Sintex tanks with drinking water will be set up. The tanks will be between Bheemuni Kolanu and Kailasa Dwaram to provide safe drinking water during Brahmotsavalu as devotees reach through the forest.

Srisailam Temple assistant commissioner H.G. Venkatesh and executive engineer V. Ramakrishna launched the Anna Pradasadam centre. The assistant commissioner interacted with padayatra devotees over the facilities.
