Will ask govt 2 acres for site museum, says CPM leader

Sivaganga: The CPM State General Secretary G. Ramakrishnan, who visited the excavation site at Keezhadi on Friday, told the officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) that he would impress upon the state government to allocate two acres of land to set up site museum in the place.

Ramakrishnan said that when he was interacting with them, ASI officials informed him it is possible to establish a site museum only if the government allocates two acres of land. He assured them he would up the issue with the Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Ma Foi K Pandiarajan on this.

Tamil novelist S Venkatesan also accompanied the CPM leader to the site. Naam Tamilar Katchi leader Seeman also visited the site and interacted with ASI officials.
