‘Siddu-HDK spat? Don’t know of it’

However, Dr Sudhakar himself was conspicuous by his absence at this protest.

Bengaluru: Trying to distance himself from the ongoing war or words between CLP leader Siddarmaiah and JD(S) leader, H.D. Kumaraswamy, former minister, D.K. Shivakumar on Wednesday said that he does not know anything about the ‘politics’ of Mr Siddaramaiah and Mr Kumaraswamy.

Speaking to reporters here, Mr Shivakumar quipped, "I am just a loyal foot soldier of this party. I do not know what is happening between tall leaders like Mr Siddaramaiah and Mr Kumarswamy. If you (media) have any questions suiting my level, you are welcome to ask them."

In the same breath he added that he was too preoccupied with his own issues be it legal cases, health issues or family issues. "Since my return from New Delhi, I have not been able to get my health check-up done. Let me focus on my issues first, they both know how to handle their politics," he remarked.

In response to a question, the former minister and Congress leader added that he would write a letter to Chief Minister, B.S. Yediyurappa requesting him not to shift the medical college allocated to his constituency, Kanakapura elsewhere.

"I am not at all opposing former Chikkaballapur MLA, Dr K. Sudhakar’s demand to have a medical college in his constituency. He is perfectly right in demanding projects for his constituency. I am only opposed to the ruling BJP's decision to snatch away a project that was already sanctioned to my constituency," he clarified.

Meanwhile, a handful of supporters of disqualified MLA, Dr K. Sudhakar launched a protest in Chikkaballapur demanding that the BJP government should not change its mind over the medical college allocated to their district.

However, Dr Sudhakar himself was conspicuous by his absence at this protest.
