Eamcet-2 paper leak: Sanikam Rajagopal Reddy tutored 14 at Bengaluru Cet-2 camp

Hyderabad: The Crime Investigation Department on Saturday made three arrests including this kingpin Sanikam Rajagopal Reddy in Eamcet-2 question paper leak case.

Two other arrested persons, Arigi Venkata Ramanaiah, owner of an institution named Resonance Medical Academy in Dilsukhnagar, and his employee, Bandaru Ravindra from Dilsukhnagar had allegedly sent four students to the Pune camp taking money from them, officials said.

“We arrested Rajagopal from Bengaluru. He was earlier arrested in several cases of question paper leak and medical admission irregularities. He came out on bail and was continuing the same activities,” said an investigation official.

“He organised a camp in Bengaluru where 14 students brought by a broker named Vishnudhar from Hyderabad and six students procured by another broker named Jyothi Babu from Vijayawada, were given leaked Eamcet-2 question papers. The students were also given coaching with answer keys,” said a senior official from the CID adding that Raja-gopal collected Rs 1.25 crore from the Hyderabad and Vijayawada brokers.

Ramanaiah, a native of Krishna district and his associate, who is a mess incharge of Medical Academy owned by Ramanaiah, sent four students to the Pune camp through a broker named Sheik Ramesh alias Raheem. “They collected Rs 35 lakh from three students and paid Ramesh. The rest of the financial transactions are being investigated,” CID officials said.

Sources said Rajagopal owns a consultancy named Usha Education in Bengaluru. He had accumulated millions through shady deals and affords good lawyers to fight his cases.

Meanwhile, CID officials are searching for two more main suspects, who are operating in Delhi. The duo had managed to leak the papers from Kapoor Printers in New Delhi and sold it to other brokers in the scam, who organised secret camps in various cities.
