Karnataka police chief calls meeting about mass leave

He directed the Superintendents of Police not to grant leave unless they have a genuine emergency.

Bengaluru: DG & IGP Om Prakash held a video conference with police heads from across districts, giving them instructions in the wake of police staff going on mass leave on Saturday.

He directed the Superintendents of Police not to grant leave unless they have a genuine emergency. He also told them create awareness on the facilities available to staff and convince them not go on leave. Mr Prakash asked them to warn staff of the consequences of going on leave. Meanwhile, he also advised them on the precautionary steps tobe taken on June 4.
