Rashtrapati Nilayam shifts its food stall

Now visitors have to walk about two kilometre to grab something to eat.

Hyderabad: Thanks to visitors throwing plastic and rubbish in Rashtrapati Nilayam, the food stalls have been shifted outside the main gate. Now visitors have to walk about two kilometre to grab something to eat.

On Saturday, there were around 4,000 visitors to Rashtrapati Nilayam.

“There have been complaints from visitors that the spaces around food stalls are not being well maintained. We have installed placards urging people to keep the spaces clean and not throw anything, but despite this visitors are dirtying the spaces so we have shifted the stalls outside Rashtrapati Nilayam,” an official from Rashtrapati Nilayam said.

People who visited on Saturday were unaware of the shifting of food stalls and grumbled that they had to walk two kilometres to get something to eat.

Currently, a stall with snack items and ice cream vendors are situated near the parking area right outside the main gate.
