Simhachalam Devasthanam sees a surge of devotees

More than 70,000 devotees have visited Simhachalam Devasthanam to offer prayers to Varaha Narasimha Swamy.

Visakhapatnam: On the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi, more than 70,000 devotees have visited Simhachalam Devasthanam to offer prayers to Varaha Narasimha Swamy on Friday. Last year, over 40,000 devotees had visited the shrine. The Uttara dwara darshan starts by 4.45 am and closes by 2.30 pm, again it was opened 4.30 pm and finally closed by 7.00 pm. Generally, the temple remains open from 8.15 pm to 9.00 pm. However, this slot has been removed.

From last year, authorities introduced Rs 500 tickets for special quick darshan. Simhachalam Devasthanam executive officer K. Ramachandra Mohan said that around 900 tickets have been sold this Vaikunta Ekadasi, while 400 were sold last year. On the occasion, temple authorities made arrangements for VIP gallery, laddu counters, free anna prasadam and water supply to devotees. in queue lines. Also, free medical assistance is provided at two places on the hilltop and one at the downhill.
