DySP Ganapati suicide case: Son Nehal backs off

The court posted the case to October 24 for further hearing.

Mysuru: In a new twist to the DySP M.K. Ganapati suicide case, his son Nehal Ganapati, who had filed a private complaint with the JMFC Court in Madikeri, did not file any objection to the B report filed by CID on Thursday.

But Ganapati’s brother Machaiah appealed to the court to include the names of his father, mother and sister in the case.

The court posted the case to October 24 for further hearing. Nehal, through his advocate, Prasanna Kumar, conveyed to the court that they did not dispute the CID report. And hence, they did not want to proceed with the case.

Nehal told reporters that since he had to continue with his studies, he would not be able to devote much time to the case. But Mr Machaiah appealed to the court to include the names of his father Kushalappa, mother Jaaji Ponnamma, and sister Sabitha and they wanted to proceed with the case.

Mr Machaiah told reporters that Nehal did not inform them about his decision not to file any objection to the CID report,” he said.
