HMDA to help make Yadadri a green area

The area would be developed on the lines of Tirumala.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has been roped in to take care of the greenery around Yadadri, home to the Shri Lakshminarasimha Swamy shrine.

Telangana government has assigned the job of developing Yadadri along the lines of Tirumala to Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority (YTDA). A meeting was held in this connection on Monday.

The metropolitan body will develop greenery over nearly 250 acres around the temple. Also, avenue plantation would be done from Raigir to Yadagirigutta, a distance of almost 6 km.

According to HMDA commissioner T. Chiranjeevulu, survey and designs would be ready in a month after which it would be placed before the chief minister for his consent. “We want to utilise the next four months of rainy season and plant as many trees as possibe in the temple town,” he said.
