Amaravati: Amaravati, Kotappakonda, Kondaveedu fort, Mangalagiri Panakala Swamy temple, Guttikonda caves, Ethipothala waterfalls, Suryalanka beach, Uppalapadu bird sanctuary, Durgi stone-craft and banks of Krishna river are good scenic spots that can be explored by tourists and filmmakers.
Majority tourist places are ill-equipped and are failing to attract more tourists. The tourist places do not have basic amenities. So, the public, mainly tourists, are not showing interest to stay at the tourist spots. The Hyderabad Digital Photography Club is frequently conducting tours to the tourism centres in Guntur district for the past two years.
HDPC coordinator and team leader T. Ram Nagesh said Kondaveedu fort and other places are very attractive. He urged the government to develop tourist spots to attract the public.
Director Dileep Raja said they formed Seemandhra Film Chamber of Commerce seeking to shift film industry to Amaravati, but in vain.
