Telugu Desam emptied AP coffers, says YSR Congress

YSRC leader C. Ramach-andraiah, claimed that there was nothing wrong about Chief Secretary L.V. Subramanyam reviewing financial sanctions.

Vijayawada: YSR Congress has alleged that Telugu Desam was responsible for the poor financial condition of AP State due to the increase in debts to Rs 2,00,000 crore. It alleged that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took loans at high interest violating norms and paid bills to contractors associated with the TD.

YSRC leader C. Ramach-andraiah, claimed that there was nothing wrong about Chief Secretary L.V. Subramanyam reviewing financial sanctions.

Mr Ramachandraiah also lamented that AP State was heading towards insolvency due to payments by Mr Naidu to his contractors and therefore the state was unable to pay salaries for April to its employees.

He said the questions by the opposition about the “misuse of funds” in the TD government were being answered by stock broker C. Kutumba Rao instead of finance minister Yanamala Ramakris-hunudu. He pointed out that Mr Kutumba Rao was not part of the TD government.

He said that since there was no information about the spending of Rs 2 lakh crore loan, the CS was conducting reviews about the funds. “TD scams about misuse of funds would come to light with the reviews. That is why Mr Naidu and other TD leaders are opposing the CS’ reviews,” he said.
