BJP combine will win 30 seats in TN: Pon Radhakrishnan

Narendra Modi who is scheduled to visit Tiruppur on February 10, is likely to visit Kanyakumari on February 19 to launch.

Chennai: BJP senior and Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan has asserted that the BJP will surely forge an alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu and that the NDA will win not less than 30 seats.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday Radhakrishnan said his BJP would announce its alliance at “an appropriate time.” “Our alliance will be the winning combination and we will win not less than 30 seats in Tamil Nadu,” he said. Taking pot shots at the mahagathbandhan the Central minister said they may form the alliance but it won’t work. “It lacks the people’s support,” he added.

Narendra Modi who is scheduled to visit Tiruppur on February 10, is likely to visit Kanyakumari on February 19 to launch about Rs 40,000 crore worth projects, Radhakrishnan informed.

On MDMK chief Vaiko’s black flag agitation against Modi in Madurai on Sunday, the minister said the protest had no effect on the PM’s name or fame in any way.

BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan questioned Vaiko’s contribution to the State in the past when he served as MP. She also took a dig at the MDMK leader’s vow to make DMK president M.K. Stalin as Chief Minister.
