Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Friday termed the Rafale deal as the biggest scam in NDA government. He said Congress will take up extensive campaigning in all districts to create awareness among the people on Rafale scam. He recalled how the BJP and other Opposition parties raised a hue and cry over Bofors deal during the Congres regime which was worth just Rs 40 crore.
“Now, the Modi goverment has indulged in huge corruption worth over Rs 40,000 crore in Rafale deal to benefit Reliance Group and the BJP national president Amith Shah's son,” Mr Rao alleged. He questioned why the Modi government showed favouritism towards Mr Anil Ambani, when his group has nothing to do with defence manufacturing. “This shows there is a shady deal between Anil Ambani and the NDA government,” he said.
