Hyderabad: Air conditioned tents for haj Haj pilgrims

Mr Abu Talha Amjad, member of the State Haj Committee, said Ramzan was the month of training for Muslims.

HYDERABAD: All Haj pilgrims who would be performing the religious obligation this year will be accommodated in air conditioned tents in Mina where they would be staying for five days.

Telangana State Haj Committee special officer S.A. Shukhoor said that as the Haj season would witness harsh climatic conditions, the Saudi Arabian authorities had made arrangements to provide air-conditioning in all the tents.

Haj pilgrims from the Hyderabad embarkation point would leave for the pilgrimage in the second phase at the end of July or in the first week of August. “There is no provision for cooking in the green category, whereas pilgrims in the Rubat and Azeezah would have this facility.” Mr Abu Talha Amjad, member of the State Haj Committee, said Ramzan was the month of training for Muslims.
