Mumbai: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria and other former senior officials in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case, according to a report.
Maria was supervising the sensational murder investigation until he was unceremoniously removed and given a low profile assignment as Director General of Home Guards in September last year.
CBI also recorded the statements of other senior police officers - Deven Bharati and Satya Narayan Choudhary.
It is believed that Maria's direct handling of the day to day investigations into the murder case cost him his position as the top cop of Mumbai, said the report.
