Hyderabad: Man falls in drain, critical

A shopkeeper recognise him and alerted his family and rushed him to Gandhi Hospital.

Hyderabad: Forty-six-year-old N. Pratap from Uberguda Colony was walking to his shop at Malkajgiri in East Anandbagh on Monday morning when he fell into an open drain near Heritage store.

K. Santosh, a student, saw him slip into the drain and alerted passersby who rushed to the spot and pulled him out. A shopkeeper recognise him and alerted his family and rushed him to Gandhi Hospital.

By then Mr Pratap had lost consciousness and was not responding. His son Vijay Anand said, “My father walks down to his shop everyday, which is opposite Heritage stores. It’s a half kilometre walk from home. We do not know what happened and how he fell into the open drain.”

Admitted in the Gandhi Hospital emergency wing, Mr Pratap is on oxygen support and doctors treating him said that he is in a critical condition.
