Nellore: Election flying squad teams seized 15.19 lakhs while carrying the cash without proper documents in two different incidents in Nellore district on Tuesday.
A flying squad team led by Mr Ramesh seized Rs 5.19 lakh cash and a car transporting the money without proper documents during vehicular checks on Pennar Anicut near Sangam town.
In another incident, Venkatachalam police led by sub-inspector Sivakrishna Reddy seized Rs 10 lakhs cash from the crew of a private travel bus after they failed to produce any details pertaining to the cash.
They have also seized the bus and shifted it to the police station during the early hours of Tuesday.
