Visakhapatnam: Language has never been a barrier when it comes to watching good films. Some of the best Vietnamese movies like Jack Pot and The Heroin will be screened at Visakha Public Library in the city from Thursday. Vizag Film Society, affiliated to Federation of film societies of India, is organising Vietnamese film festival to attract movie enthusiasts of the city. The films depicting Vietnam War for freedom and some rare movies made by internationally acclaimed film directors will be screened for three days.

VFS secretary Narava Prakasa Rao said, “These films were made by directors like Nguyen Huu Muuoi and Dang Nhat Minh during 2014-16. We exchange best movies every six months from global cultural embassies. This time we have received six good ones from Vietnam.” “We are to receive more films from Taiwan and Israel. Film festivals will instil good taste among the audience. Other than these, we are also planning to coordinate with Directorate of Film Festival to host European film festival in August this year.
