Separate railway zone is right of Vizag: Vijay Sai

YSRC district president Gudivada Amarnath explained the schedule of the Padayatra.

Visakhapatnam: The world has come a long way since the time of steam engines to the plans for bullet trains. But Visakhapatnam has been subjected to injustice in terms of having a separate railway zone in the past four decades, said YSRC general-secretary and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijay Sai Reddy here on Sunday.

The district YSRC unit has conducted a beach walk on the RK Beach road ahead of its Padayatra for a separate railway zone from March 30. The busy RK Beach stretch, usually filled with morning walkers, reverberated with slogans of ‘East Coast Hatao...Walt-air Bacaho.’ (Abolish East Coast Railways....Rescue Waltair Division (Vizag).

“The BJP and the TD have cheated the people of north coastal Andhra Pradesh in the recent Graduates’ MLC elections, by claiming that they would help Vizag get a separate railway zone. At the time of state bifurcation, a separate railway zone for AP had been promised. Andhra Pradesh hasn’t got its due share after bifurcation,” said Mr Reddy.

YSRC district president Gudivada Amarnath explained the schedule of the Padayatra. YSRC leaders Kola Guruvulu, Golla Baburao, Vamsikrishna Srinivas, T. Nagireddy and others were present.
