Focus on Telangana as AICC top guns meet in Delhi

The High Power Committee discussed about Telangana majorly as there are early elections for the Assembly in the State.

Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee High Power Committee has discussed about the alliances of the party for the upcoming Telangana Assembly Elections. The discussion that took place covered election strategy, campaigning strategy and candidate selection.

The committee leaders Mr A.K. Antony, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mr Mallikarjuna Kharge, Mr Jayaram Ramesh and Mr Ashok Gehlot held a meeting with the Pradesh Congress Committee Presidents and Congress legislative party leaders of Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan at the AICC war room in Delhi on Tuesday.

The High Power Committee discussed about Telangana majorly as there are early elections for the Assembly in the State. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy attended the meeting along with the Congress Legislative Party leader K. Jana Reddy and In-charge of Telangana Congress affairs R.C. Khuntia.

The Telangana leaders have explained the situation in the State and the discussion went on regarding the alliances for the Assembly elections. The TPCC leaders explained that the talks that are being done with the TD, TJS, CPI and the Inti Party. The AICC leaders have also inquired about the seat-sharing with the alliance parties.

Mr Khuntia said, “This was a preparatory meeting that was held in the AICC war room and they have verified the preparedness of the TPCC for the upcoming elections in Telangana. They have looked into the overall preparedness and the alliances with other parties.”
