Hyderabad: An angry resident from West Marredpally tweeted a picture of monkeys in a kitchen and used it to question the inaction of the GHMC. “Promises are meant to be broken, are they," Ms Chitra Shenoy said on her Twitter handle and said the area had become a haven for monkeys. “They are back, but with a vengeance,” she said.
“News channels and a few media houses have been frequenting our area to check on the monkey menace (as if this is the only issue) assuring that this coverage will awaken the officials... but then it fizzles out like a sodapop,” she wrote. “Uncivilised residents” took “great pleasure” in dumping garbage in this area.
