Kaduvetti' Guru, former PMK MLA, passes away

Guru was admitted with breathing difficulties' to the Apollo Hospitals recently. He had undergone tracheostomy successfully.

Chennai: Former MLA ‘Kaduvetti’ Guru, a senior leader of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and chief of Vanniyar Sangam, died following prolonged illness in a private hospital in Chennai on Friday. According to sources, Guru was undergoing treatment for liver complications and respiratory problems for last few days at Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road. He was responding well to the treatment and medications. However, respiratory problem increased on Friday and he was declared dead on Friday evening at 8.30 pm by the Apollo Hospitals. However, the hospital did not release any official statement regarding his death.
