Give ex gratia to the slightly hurt too at dilsukhnagar: NIA court

The NIA court directed the District Legal Services Authority to decide on the quantum of compensation.

Hyderabad: The NIA court on Saturday ruled that the compensation provided by the state government to the grievously injured victims of the Dilsukhnagar bomb blasts of 2013 was inadequate, ordering sufficient compensation to be paid.

The court directed the District Legal Services Authority to decide on the quantum of compensation to be awarded to the grievously injured 78 victims out of the total 126 victims. The court also ordered that a Rs 1 lakh compensation be provided to the shop-owner of a mirchi-bhajji center where the blast had occurred and a Rs 50,000 to the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation as its 107 route bus stand had got damaged in the blast.

The court observed that the terrorists convicted in the blasts case were behaving disrespectfully and ‘like heroes’. They killed innocent people in the name of jihad and their ideology was dangerous, the court noted, and it also observed that the terrorists had conspired to plant bombs at Kothi, Begum Bazar and Abids.
