BJP bid to land Amit Shah's jet at Kannur

The party has launched an all out effort to ensure that Amit Shah would be the first passenger to be landed in Kannur airport.

Kannur: BJP national president Amit Shah will reach Kannur on Saturday in connection with the inauguration of Mararji Mandiram, the district committee office of the party.

BJP leadership is trying to facilitate his landing in the Kannur International Airport Limited (KIAL), though the original plan was to land in Karipur airport in Kozhikode district and reach Kannur by road.

The party has launched an all out effort to ensure that Amit Shah would be the first passenger to be landed in Kannur airport. The district leadership has submitted an application to Airport Authority of India (AAI) and the Union ministry of civil aviation to facilitate landing of his special aircraft at KIAL. The private airlines company also had submitted an application to the AAI. The BJP district unit is all set to make the visit of Amit Shah to the district a big event. It is to be recalled that Amit Shah is reaching the state amid the controversy on the entry of women in Sabarimala is raging.
