90 per cent potholes filled! Karnataka High Court sends team to fact check

The court has now appointed a two man court commission to inspect the ongoing works and report back to it.

BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) submitted to the Karnataka High Court on Monday that all potholes in Malleswaram West Zone (7 wards out of 44), Mahalakshmi Layout West Zone (7 wards) and Yelahanka Zone (four wards out of 11) had been filled! And that included 90 per cent of the potholes in the city, where work is continuing as new potholes have been discovered!

The court has now appointed a two man court commission to inspect the ongoing works and report back to it. The division bench, headed by Chief Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, felt the necessity to appoint the Commission for validation of several aspects of the case. "The Commission, comprising Ms M.G.Uma, Member Secretary, Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, and Mr Dinesh Agrawal, Superintending Engineer, CWE (Army), Bengaluru, is requested to visit the areas in question and report on the status of the work," the court said.
