RTC Cross road to get elevated corridor

The GHMC will be acquiring the lands which are majorly GHMC and Industrial lands.

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department issued a Government Order for the construction of a four lane bidirectional elevated corridor from Indira Park to VST junction via NTR Stadium, Ashok Nagar Cross road, RTC Cross Road and Bagh Lingampally junction in Phase1.

In the Phase-2 of the project a 3-lane bidirectional grade separator from Ram Nagar to BaghLingampally crossing VST junction at second level in one phase of the SRDP project will be set-up.

This is an important connecting road in the Hyderabad city which faces inadequate carriageway width, footpath, resulting in increased pressure on roads. Keeping in view the future traffic demand, the proposed project corridor is sub-arterial road connecting these two arterial roads. The GHMC will be acquiring the lands which are majorly GHMC and Industrial lands.

The Phase1 of the Indira Park-VST elevate steel bridge of is 2.610 km stretch is being estimated at cost of Rs 350crores excluding land acquisition costs. The Phase-2 flyover of 0.84 km is estimated to be at Rs 76 crore.
