Jagan Mohan Reddy: Regularise contract workers

He assured that the services of all contract workers would be regularised.

Nellore: Reiterating that rampant corruption of Chandrababu Naidu government has made a mockery of democracy with the horse-trading using the ill-gotten wealth and inducting some of the turncoats into the cabinet, YSR Congress President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that such people should be discouraged and he assured that the services of all contract workers would be regularised.

“When our government comes to power with your blessings, services of all contract workers would be regularised with a pay hike while Chandrababu Naidu did not keep up his promise and left the unemployed youth, farmers, women groups, senior citizens and all sections in the lurch,” the Leader of Opposition said while addressing a large meeting as part of Praja Sankalpa Yatra here on Saturday.

“All the outsourcing workers would become permanent employees as per their qualification and increased pay scales. The Velugonda project, which was started by former Chief Minister Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, was left out during the past four years by Chandrababu Naidu government. After we are voted to power, we will complete the project,” he said. The region which has high incidences of fluorosis with contaminated water and people with renal ailments too has been very high. They have been under utter neglect by TDP government, he added.

Corruption has been very rampant from top to bottom with Chandrababu Naidu steeped neck-deep in corruption and his cadre following suit up to Janma Bhoomi Committees. With the ill-gotten wealth, he has bought MLAs and even made some of them as ministers making a mockery of democracy. The turncoats will not be disqualified and go for elections as they fear backlash and the manifestation of public ire.
