Hyderabad: In a span of three weeks, forest officials of Telangana have seized another skin of the tiger in Mancherial district on Thursday. The forest officials acting on a tip-off, rushed and caught three suspects at Mandamarri railway station.
When the forest officials searched them, they found the skin of a tiger and immediately took the accused into custody.
According to sources, three of the suspects belong to nearby villages. The Mancherial District Forest
Officer is investigating the case. The investigation is being done to identify the main accused and the details of where the skin was being transported to. This is the second case of tiger skin seizure in Telangana region. The officials are worried that the tiger might have been killed in the Telangana forest region. Apart from this, two skin seizures were registered in the country in this month alone. One was registered in Telangana in the first week and the second seizure was done in Amravati of Maharashtra in the second week.
