Commuters demands APSRTC for more buses

M Sudhakar said that there is no bus shelter and timetable in the city port and sought the duo with seating facility to the public.

Guntur: Commuters have demanded the APSRTC to run more city bus services in the Guntur city and to display timings at bus-stops.

They further sought extension of city bus services to Namburu to help students. The APSRTC Guntur conducted dial your RM programme at Guntur on Friday in which the public in large numbers inform their requirements and gave suggestions to the APSRTC.

Sk Amjad of Guntur pointed out the absence of boards with route numbers on city buses and sought the same with route numbers in bold letters. Another resident of Guntur, J Satyanarayana asked city buses to JKC College center and Gujjanagundla circle to Gorantla. M Sudhakar said that there is no bus shelter and timetable in the city port and sought the duo with seating facility to the public.

Janardhan Prasad of Tullur expressed displeasure over the poor services to Guntur-Tullur-Guntur and sought betterment of the services in view of the New Capital Amaravati establishment. Besides this, the public sought restart of Nizampatnam-Vijayawada bus service, increase of Bapatla-Repalle buses, starting of bus service to Nidamarru of Amaravati and decrease of halts to the Express bus services.
