No internal assessment for pvt candidates in plus-1 exam

For each subject written test will be conducted for 90 marks and internal assessment carries 10 marks.

Chennai: Private candidates scheduled to write plus-1 public exam in April 2018 are exempted from internal assessment as it is based on attendance, field visits, and assignments.

To make students to study the basic concepts in plus-1, the department of school education has converted the annual exam into a board exam and reduced the subject marks from 200 to 100. It also introduced the internal assessment.

For each subject written test will be conducted for 90 marks and internal assessment carries 10 marks. “The private candidates could be exempted from internal assessment which is based on attendance. Hence, the marks they score out of 90 in written test would be converted to 100. The minimum pass marks are 35 out of 100 marks,” a government order said.
