Hyderabad: Police avert 2 suicide bids at Hussainsagar

According to police, she has been facing family problems due to which she went into depression.

Hyderabad: Lake police officials rescued one man and a woman with a baby in two separate incidents, wherein they tried to end their lives by jumping into the Hussainsagar Lake during the wee hours of Tuesday.

“In the first incident, on Tuesday at around 11:50 pm, a 28-year-old housewife, along with her one-and-a-half-year old baby tried to jump into the lake near the Dargah adjacent to the outpost. Noticing this, immediately our patrolling team rushed and saved their lives and brought them to the police station,” said the police inspector, Dhana Laxmi.

According to police, she has been facing family problems due to which she went into depression.

The second incident was reported around 2:15 am on Wednesday, wherein a 24-year-old man attempted to jump into the lake near the peacock statue. “He said that on Monday evening he and his parents had a quarreled due to which he got fed up and decided to end his life,” said the official adding that both parties were counselled and sent back.
