Five villages merged with AP seek return to TS

KAKINADA: The people of the five villages in Yetapaka mandal of Andhra Pradesh demanded that their villages should be merged with Telangana state. The villages, located in what is now Alluri district, were merged with AP from Telangana state following bifurcation. They staged a protest at Kannayigudem main road to stress their demand.

The people of the villages of Yetapaka, Pichukulapadu, Purusho-thapatnam, Kannayigudem and Gundala raised slogans against the AP government saying they don’t want to live in Andhra Pradesh. They said that they had absorbed Telangana culture and were facing hardships in AP. They said they would not get justice if they continue in Andhra Pradesh.
