YSRC's strategy to corner TD

The new movement is being taken on by the party along with the SCS movement.

Vijayawada: The YSRC is planning to establish a movement, demanding that the TD government fulfil its election promise to provide the unemployed youth of the state a stipend, like the Telangana government does.

The new movement is being taken on by the party along with the SCS movement. The YSRC intends to use the slogan “Job Kavalante Babu Ravali,” to lead the public. The party is preparing itself to face whatever consequences may arise, but remains firm on taking up these two issues, as they relate to every family in the state.

The YSRC is drafting strategies to mount pressure on the government as part of its political battle against the ruling TD. It has decided to establish intensified movements highlighting all the poll promises from 2014 that the TD has failed to fulfil.

The YSRC expects that involving the youth and students in their movements will draw them closer to the party. The party is also keenly observing the strategies being implemented in Telanagana.

YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to hold a meeting with the party leaders in the coming week, to discuss and finalise the schedule of protests against the government. Mr Jagan has sent a letter to the CM, which acts as a reminder to the government, and a message to the youth to unite against the ruling party.

In his letter, Mr Jagan has mentioned that the government owes each unemployed youth in the state Rs 66,000, for the past 33 months; and that the aggregated dues amount to Rs 1.15 lakh crore.

He has mentioned that the TD claims that investments amounting to lakhs of crores of rupees are coming into the state and that lakhs of jobs are being created, but no one can see them except Mr Naidu.

There has been no change in the availability of employment options either in the public sector or in the industrial and information technology sectors; and so, there is a need to immediately pay the unemployed youth an allowance, he said.
