UDF to handle solar case legally, politically: PK Kunhalikutty

He said if they decide to politicise it then the UDF will deal it both politically and legally.

Thiruvananthapuram: IUML leader P. K. Kunhalikutty, MP, on Monday wished the LDF government to act responsibly in the solar case.

He said if they decide to politicise it then the UDF will deal it both politically and legally.

Addressing a meet-the-press programme at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club here, he criticised the way in which the crime branch slapped a criminal case on former chief minister Oommen Chandy and said the people would rubbish it. He recalled how the High Court rejected the enquiry commission report based on untrue statements.

"It will help pollute the atmosphere further, and nothing else," said Kunhalikutty.

He also said that the LDF government's irresponsible stand on Sabarimala had boomeranged.

He demanded an all-party meeting to discuss the issue.

On the national elections less than six months away, he said the UDF was already in a campaign mode.

He took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying bombastic speeches alone would do no good and that he's running away from critical issues.
