Peddapalli: Officials to check flow of cash, liquor on borders

Officials have also decided to make collective efforts to control extremist activities in the Naxal affected areas.

PEDDAPALLI: An inter-state review meeting on the law and order situation was held at the NTPC meeting hall in Peddapalli in view of the up coming elections.
Officials from the bordering areas of Telangana, Maharashtra and Chattisgarh participated in the meeting.

Police and revenue officials have decided to coordinate to control the illegal transportation of liquor and money exchange taking place on the borders of Telangana, Maharashtra and Chattisgarh.

Officials have also decided to make collective efforts to control extremist activities in the Naxal affected areas. Police officials said, that as many as 77 polling centres of the total 120 have been identified as sensitive in the Manthani Assembly constituency.

Mancherial collector Bharati Hollikeri, Ramagundam police commissioner V. Satyanarayana, Gadchiroli Additional collector Damodhar Nanje, Mancehrial DCP Venugopal Rao, Peddapalli DCP Sudharshan Goud Bhoopalapalli Additional SP Naik, Sironcha DSP Rajesh Jadhav and others were present.
