Bengaluru: Flood-hit PU students to get duplicate marks cards

There is no need for students and parents to approach the head office to collect these documents.

Bengaluru: The Department of Pre University Education (DPU) has directed the officials of all 34 educational districts to take all possible measures to issue duplicate marks cards and other supporting documents to help students who have lost them in the recent floods.

The department has taken this decision following complaints from students about losing their SSLC and PUC marks cards besides other relevant documents to facilitate their education.

In a circular, the Department has directed all district Deputy Directors of DPU to take steps to distribute documents without charging any fee to students.

“There is no need for students and parents to approach the head office to collect these documents. Students can directly contact the Deputy Directors of DPU and heads of Department of Public Instruction in their respective districts and submit their applications.

The district officers will help students and parents to collect these documents,” said Director of Public Instruction M.P. Madegowda.
